But & Ben
Located about 200m down the road from the main bunkhouse towards Portnalong harbour, the But & Ben is completely self-contained and can sleep up to four people in comfort on bunk beds.
The kitchen/living room is fully equipped with an electric cooker, fridge & microwave, and all pots & pans, crockery and cutlery, etc, are provided.
There is plenty of room for four people to eat together at the dining table, and cosy seating beside the fire. The bedroom has two built-in bunkbeds with individual reading lights, and the toilet and shower room is situated off the central hallway.
You can have meals or a cold beer at the picnic table outside, and relax and watch the world go by with panoramic views over crofts and moorland to Arnival, and the Cuillins in the distance.
Now rennovated to the highest standards, the building actually dates from the 1920's and was originally a shop where settlers from Harris and Lewis sold their tweed and knitwear.
